(জন্ম থেকে মৃত্যু পর্যন্ত মানুষের সীমাহীন চাহিদা ও তার পরিণতির উপর লেখা আমার এই ইংরেজি কবিতাটি)
“”Unfulfilled Thirst of Humans””
We are the human beings on earth,
Endless want begins some years after birth.
When we are mere breast-fed children,
There is no stress of want in our brain.
Only the heavenly milk from dear mother,
That could satisfy no need of other.
Mother is ready always for the beloved child to feed,
With unmeasured love & care if any hungry cry of need.
Some years after we become younger,
Already starts the area of our hunger.
Many more things are permeating around us,
Busy our eyes for them to touch.
Now we are adult and the zone of need is wide,
To meet the want all-time busy to fight.
More and more want becomes the sole target,
Without knowing how but busy and frantic to get.
To become rich and powerful,we do whatever like,
Cherishing on thought if others dislike.
Law,legality and all good senses are driven away,
To get power, money and wealth, grabbing the only way.
The more powerful, the more wealthy to dominate the society,
But never think,is it human identity?
Exploiting others for having hilly wealth,
It brings nothing but the engravement of human health.
More, more and more but how much we don’t know,
To meet that very want our heads always bow.
Getting, getting more more but still the thirst is unmet,
But do we think what is our irony of fate?
